Crab Mallet

Summers in Maryland always require steamed crabs, at least once a week. Crab mallets were also a must to crack open the delightful meat inside. 
 
I remember the ones I had growing up, off the shores of the Chesapeake Bay and Magothy River, were hand made by my grandfather.
